MIMA Event – 2010 Predictions and Emerging Tech

I had the pleasure of attending a MIMA panel discussion called, “2010 DIGITAL PREDICTIONS AND THE STATE OF EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES.” Kim Garretson (Partner, Ovative Group), Alex Hawkinson (Founder and CEO of Mural Ventures), Robert Stephens, (Founder and Chief Inspector for The Geek Squad) with Douglas Pollei (VP, Internet Strategy and Corporate Development, IKANO) moderating.

Main take-aways, predictions, emerging tech for 2010:

  • Cloud computing economies will enable small, nimble companies to compete in the market
  • The concept of cloud communities will enable syndication of communities (not just content anymore)
  • Be flexible, and think perpetual beta in  everything!
